Pamukkale/Hierapolis Map
The ruins of Hierapolis are adjacent to the cotton candy terraces of Pamukkale. The terraces are the result of carbonate minerals left by the flowing geothermal waters. These mineral ritch hot springs have been used as a spa since the 2nd century BC, with many patrons retiring or dying there.
