On the west bank of Luxor are the various mortuary temples, valley of the kings/queens and nobles. On route we pass a number of sites which are pictured here. Of note is the Colossi of Memnon and Ramesseum

From the bus we pass a temple I haven't yet identified Ballooning at sunrise would be a great way to see the sights Escaping the clutches of the sales folk at a bazaar makes getting to the bus on time a real challenge
We approach the Valley of the Kings (no cameras allowed) The desert contains many tombs Peddle powered ute hurtles past as we look at the fields and housing in the area
We slow down for a photo-shoot of the Ramesseum The Ramesseum is the mortuary temple of Ramesses II another view
Further on, we pass the temple of Merneptah another photo These statues are from the temple of Amenophis III
more items uncovered, here a headless sphinx Sneaking up behind the Colossi of Memnon further photo from the bus
This deceptively secure fence prevents the Colossi from getting away The Colossi of Memnon from the parking lot and once more with feeling
